Just had an evening in the Inn with friends and have had a cracking, excellent meal. The welcome to the K I was marvellous and we were swiftly shown to our table. All staff knew their stuff, very attentive- and, importantly, at the right time !- caring and helpful, even suggesting appropriate additions to our order: I had the most succulent steak I believe I have ever had, and all of our party agreed on the quality of all the food by (we all had steak, but all cooked differently). I recommend the scotch egg starter (which was recommended to me- thanks !) but I am jealous of the king prawn starter, so must return 🙄. Hats off to the chefs and to all the staff. I can’t wait to come back again to try more of the food !

Good easy pre-check in and registration. Very clean hotel. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The food was very good and served quickly. Excellent value for money.

If I was rating just the location and exterior design I would have give this recently refurbished venue a 4/5 rating. But for me the quality of the food, it's price and bar prices drag it right down. For example my wife's starter of "King Prawns, costing around £12.00 consisted of three prawns on a small piece of toast and little else. My main course of fish and chips at £18.00 was dry and barely warm. A friend described his burger as "tasting like cardboard". A large glass of "lemonade", was £4.50 - more expensive than a bottle of alcohol free beer. It's a real shame because this venue deserves a better quality of food, which can be found in other pubs in the area that serve home cooked quality food at the same price.

Had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. We booked an extra night and were able to stay in the same room, which was really helpful. All of the staff were friendly and happy to help.

I used to live in knaresborough and other than lots of boozers there wasn’t much there really. Harrogate was always first choice being so close. However, I returned recently and visited this place with family. It used to be a stuffy hotel but it has been transformed into a really nice pub/restaurant with lots and lots of outdoor space. It’s really kid friendly so a great place for a family lunch. It will really come into its own in the summer. A great addition to the town.

Allocated rooms 101 & 102 outside. Had to contend with busy road traffic late into night with broken window latches in these rooms not helping with noise reduction. Room 102 also very very near to generator. A decent nights sleep was not experienced at the Knaresborough Inn. Toilet rolls requested but only received after asking for a second time.

As part of a week in Knaresborough with friends we tried this quaint pub. Overall very good and the food was of good quality. The ordering process is a little confusing but on the whole the four of us had a very enjoyable meal. We sat in a booth by the windows and it was very pleasant watching the world go by in a well decorated pub with good ambience. We had a relaxing time and would recommend. Didn't see the bedrooms but if anything like the decor of the pub would assume very well done out. Defo worth a visit
